2009 Heavy item pick-up
There will be two (2) pick-ups scheduled in 2009; May 11th and September 14th. All residents must register the items to be picked up by calling Vera Crouthamel, Department of Public Works, 973-410-5330, no later than the Thursday preceding the scheduled collection. Items that will not be picked up include oil tanks, windows, sliding glass doors, mirrors, tires, propane tanks, construction or demolition debris, firewood, logs, stumps, quantities of fencing, railroad ties or items in plastic garbage bags. Appliances such as refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, dehumidifiers or any other items that have a compressor known to contain Freon will not be picked up unless the DPW Office has been provided with written documentation indicating that the Freon has been legally removed. All items must be curbside by 6:40 a.m. the Monday of each collection week.Brush and Limb Pick-up
Brush and Limb Pick-up is scheduled to begin the week of March 23, 2009, weather permitting, and will be conducted once per month during the last full work week (Monday thru Friday) of the month through the week of September 21, 2009. Leave brush curbside by 7:00 a.m. on Monday and do not place brush in the roadway. Once a roadway is completed there will be no return trips until the following month. Large branch chipping between 1" and 6" in diameter with a length greater than 4' will be chipped. Small branch chipping of branches and cuttings less than 1' in diameter may be tied in bundles no longer than 4' and placed curbside, or in a rigid receptacle which does not contain grass or garden debris. Grass and Garden Debris Pick-up will begin the week of April 6, 2009, and continue through the week of November 2, 2009. Computers, Monitors, printers, scanners, phones, fax machines and various oil based materials may be dropped off (9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the following Morris County Municipal Utilities locations on the following dates:May 9th - Pequannock Township
